14th Report: Sweden - Denmark - Germany Sweden
We enjoyed three days in Stockholm and the hospitality of Ketty. First we went in sunny but windy walk on sightseeing (preferably the old houses we liked in the quieter part of Gamla Stan) and on the last morning we went by Touriboot among the 15 bridges and through the islands of Stockholm.

On the way to the south of Sweden we visited Vimmerby the birthplace of Astrid Lindgren. Although the visitor center had closed, we were able to visit her birthplace and buildings that served her in her stories as a model.

For three days we visited the island of Öland in. It was by chance that on the island, which once had more than 2,000 windmills, just pumpkin festival was. So there were a number of Swedish mobile homes on the road, who visited the exhibitions of ceramic pumpkin flower arrangements and paintings on the farms in small towns. The pavilion was not our taste, but it had funny characters from pumpkin.

We drove from the official tourist route (the south of the island is protected by UNESCO), past Viking graves, by implementing a settlement (where the houses stand in line at the main street) and found out while visiting the ruins Eketorp that would in the evening a medieval festival held with fire show. On the way to the north, we visited the castle ruins of Borgholm and were on the huge plate avalanche amazed. the north of the island, we walked through the forest to the Trol Troll corpse. It was wonderful weather and we enjoyed the two hour Walk through the gnarled spruce and birch forests, past a ship wreck, and of course graves from the Viking Age.

went after Öland it across Sweden to the west coast to Gothenburg. Before the typical tourist tour with the obligatory completed we wondered about the parking fees. Since you can actually pay to place A four-fold of parking fees, as in parking lot B, which is only five meters away ...

Our route took us again further north to Lake Vänern. But before the visit of Doris and Bernard Hug in their vacation home, we visited the shops in Tanum rock Ritzer. The carvings are at least 3,000 years old and sometimes difficult to see why most people were filled with red paint. Unfortunately, the rock carvings are threatened by acid rain, and some were protected with layers of sand covered. But there were still many drawings to see and we were impressed by the vitality of the engravings.

Vänern lake, we enjoyed the hospitality of Doris and Bernard. We finally have slept in a bed and were allowed to enjoy a warm shower. Our solar shower is no longer really warm, but Melissa had put the idea to the shower bag in front of the heater. So we at least have hot water for showers, but at 10 ° C temperature ...
Doris and Bernard showed us the surrounding area, the locks of the canal's in Trollhättan and enlightened us on the construction of the houses in Sweden. Because everyone builds itself. Since we are only at 10.10. with Patricia and Martin were arranged in Copenhagen, we had enough time to visit before leaving Sweden's Lund yet. In the student city, we were most impressed by the Astronomical Clock in the cathedral.

For the last night in Sweden we had the perfect sleeping space with views of the Oresund Bridge (which we the next morning in heavy fog crossed) and enjoyed a wonderful sunset.

Denmark
In Copenhagen we were Patricia and Martin immediately welcomed with a brunch. We could park the Büssli directly at the front of Patrick and went on a sightseeing tour soon with the official goals in Copenhagen. From the little mermaid we saw "only" a live broadcast from the World Expo in Shanghai, where she exhibited in a basin of 10,000 cubic meters of Copenhagen harbor water is. On the one-hour cruise through the harbor area, we were told that the strong fog, which prevented some beautiful views, pretty unusual.

Natürlich durfte der Abstecher nach Christiania, dem Freistaat in Kopenhagen, nicht fehlen. Der Freistaat existiert trotz der offiziellen Auflösung im Jahre 2005 immer noch. Einige Politiker würden ihm gerne den Garaus machen, aber Christiania ist das zweit wichtigste Touristenmagnet Kopenhagens und deshalb wird der Staat trotzdem noch toleriert.

For the last day in Copenhagen, then the art exhibition in Louisiana was announced. We took the train 30 minutes to the north and visited the various exhibits including Marie Calle (who we all like best, they are "experimenting" with people and invited as a person to sleep in her bed, she took pictures with her and behavior during sleep) and images of Amsel Kiefer (in his paintings is shown on the German post-war oppressive nature).

our plan to Skagen, we left because of the large Mileage fall again (after all, we wanted to Berlin and it will be already connected to a long drive). We visited for Legoland. Admission prices for adults are frightened from first while (CHF 55.00 per person), which was a bit much, but when Meli by a German family for a two-for-one admission, got us, we made the visit. Because, really were whole streets we had just attended the first of millions of Lego blocks copied (eg Bryggen in Bergen). There were also a few amusement park trains, which were especially enjoyed by Meli ... was like 17 years ago when she and the family already here! EVERYTHING is made of LEGO.

Germany
The next day was a long drive across announced by Germany to Berlin. After the first 200 km on German highway, we opted for the slightly slower trip through the autumn landscape. This saves some fuel and it definitely looks a lot more of the landscape. So we drove through many small villages where farms are sometimes widely disintegrated red river rock, large wind farms along and heard to German news for hours. It was kind of funny that you suddenly understood it all again (road signs, messages ,...).
The love GPS led us through the middle of Berlin (we actually drove past the Kurfürstendamm!) To Neuköln where we were greeted by Sabina and Beni. We were allowed to live their days in Berlin with Sabina and Pfenni.

The next morning brought Meli, Sabina Florian Winkler and Beni at the airport and we went to a brunch in the media market in order to upgrade our technical: new car radio, USB WiFi Stick (Unfortunately, the whole use of Martin for the cat, was the new Airport card had not solved the compiler problem, thanks anyway).
