We Ljubljana northeast left to go to Croatia to visit some castles. We drove überkurvige streets, led by TomTom through forests and small villages. Our castle tour included a tour of the castle from the inside (and not so worthwhile because, except for Slovenia's economy) on the outside, two outside and two monasteries.

The limestone cave tour, we missed by 5 minutes and so Melissa took the opportunity and gathered before continuing the trip garlic for dinner.

In Kroatien besuchten wir die Insel Krk. Hier übernachteten wir direkt am Meer auf einem (zum Glück) noch geschlossenen FKK Campingplatz. Als Abendessen gab's Meeresfrüchterisotto im Dorfrestaurant. Zum Glück ist noch nicht Hauptsaison, wir waren fast alleine.

Am nächsten Morgen wurden wir dann (obwohl Samstag) von Arbeitern kurz vor dem Frühstück vom Campingplatz vertrieben. So fuhren wir der Jadranska-Magistrale entlang, wo unser Bus leider ein Teil seines Stossstangenschutzes verlor. Later in the afternoon we went to the next National Park: Krka (200 km). The Tomtom first led along the coast, where Melissa was after several stops and seek forgiveness 3 wild asparagus. She was not quite as successful as the Croats, who we saw on the roadside. Then it went through the countryside and suddenly changed the environment. We drove through deserted villages bombed and riddled facades. Land mines make it impossible for the population to use their fields. Despite CHF 20 - entry per person, we visited the Krka NP. It has then been worth it. A footpath led by impressive water meadows, past cascades and waterfalls. For a change, it did not rain once.

In the afternoon we drove to the vicinity of Split in the hills and sought a place to sleep. In the semi-darkness, we suddenly saw bunker-like plants and men working in a tunnel. We were then on the way to the former train tunnel, now growing mushrooms (be harvested here every day up to 300 kg of mushrooms), . In Ston we stayed on a dirt road. It stormed and rained all night, so we decided in the morning just to endure another day here and visiting the island of Mljet to move to the next.
